Japanese beetles are incredibly destructive. In their larval form they will attack your lawn by living living in the soil while feeding on your grass roots (for biological control of the larvae or "grubs" apply nematodes twice per year). As adult beetles, they will absolutely destroy your garden flowers and plants! They are voracious destroyers of ornamental plants like roses, dahlias, and other prized plants, fruit trees and vines, vegetable and field crops. 

They will skeletonize leaves and eat entire flowers and fruits. 

The best way to control them is to attack them at both the larval and adult stages. At the adult stage, these traps and lures are the best way to control them biologically without harming other beneficial insects that may reside on your plants. These traps will attract both males and females with powerful pheromone and floral lures. The beetles will fall into the trap without being able to escape.
