The Burgess Buttercut Squash is sweet tasting with orange flesh that is smooth and thick. The skin is dark and has narrow green grey stripes with slight mottling. This squash is great for soups, roasting and even pumpkin pie.
Takes 87 days to harvest.
Spagetti Squash is an interesting novelty squash producing medium sized oblong fruit on normal sized vines. The flesh is pale yellow and spaghetti like. It is delicious boiled or baked.

Table Queen or Acorn Squash has a hard dark green shell of the heritage pepper squash. It has a pale yellow, exceedingly sweet flesh. The acorn shaped fruits are roughly 15cm (6") in diameter. It is in excellent keeper.

Waltham Butternut Squash has a creamy yellow smooth outer skin that hold a deep orange flesh in the bulbous end. The average weight is 1.5-2kg (3-4lb) It has a great taste that improves with storage.

Sowing: Sow seeds outdoors in late May and June. They can be started indoors in paper or fibre pots 3 weeks earlier. Harvest after vine dies or rind hardens and dulls in colour. Gather before frost, leaving part of the stem attached to the fruit. Sow 6 seeds per hill, 2.5cm (1") deep. Space each hill 2.4m (8') apart.
