Join Me: Pollinator Garden Night
$50.00
This month, I'm hosting an evening gathering at the Lavish Gardens Shoppe. The evening is called Pollinator Garden Night - and it's an invitation to start thinking about your garden from a completely different point of view.
Not the gardener's view, looking down at what's blooming. But the bee's view. The butterfly's view. The view of a creature that has spent thousands of years learning to find exactly what it needs, navigating by colour and scent and flower shape in ways we're only beginning to understand.
Some bees are generalists, happy to visit whatever is on offer. But many of our native bees are specialists - they have co-evolved so precisely with particular plants that without those plants, they just cannot complete their life cycle. They will fly right past a garden full of flowers and find nothing they can use.
Learning to garden for pollinators means learning to see your garden the way they do: not as a collection of beautiful things, but as a landscape of possibility or absence.
That is what we'll explore together on June 25th - in conversation, in a circle, with plenty of time for questions and stories and the kind of tangents that are actually the whole point.
Tickets are $50, and every ticket comes with a $50 voucher redeemable on plants - so the evening essentially pays for itself.
We hope to see you there.
